Mrs K Goodier

Katherine Goodier has worked at Abbey Grange since September 2000. Alongside her Science and Chemistry teaching duties for the last 8 years she has served as Assistant Achievement Director Post 16 with specific responsibility for Progression.  Katherine has overall oversight of the progression pathways for students and works with the careers lead and various external providers to ensure that our  Post 16 students receive high quality advice, support and enrichment opportunities to enable them to progress onto a variety of ambitious progression pathways. Key responsibilities include, administration of the UCAS application process, leading the Scholars cohort,  providing a bespoke widening participation provision support package and oversight of KS4 into 5 transition. She also works within lower school seeking to promote ambitious progression pathways amongst KS3 and 4 students, work which lead Abbey Grange to become one of only a handful of northern schools involved in New College Oxford's Step up programme. Her leadership of the Scholars enrichment programme has led to Abbey Grange being one of the top state schools in the country for progression to Oxford and Cambridge.
